I Heart San Antonio, Part Two

San Antonio’s entertainment is built in — we never really needed the car.  We walked to restaurants, to the Market Square…the hotel was just steps away from the River Walk, and we got day passes (to get on and off the boat taxis as often as we liked). Perfect!  We cruised all the way up to the San Antonio Museum of Art and visited it, then cruised all the way back to the other end.  It wasn’t too hot and there were so many gorgeous things to look at…

The taxi let us off close to the Tower of the Americas:

…which has The Chart House at its top, revolving for a full view of the city.  The boys thought it was just terrific to sit in one place and be able to see all of San Antonio by the time their lunch was over. Magic!:

It turns out that Chart House is actually chain of ~30 restaurants, and lunch was much better than I expected — I had a simple lunch of Caesar salad and a baked potato:

Av had a really delicious fish entree (ah, I can’t remember exactly what its description was, but he liked it very much):

I’m hoping we will go again in the next year or two…it really was one of my favorite trips and the boys had so many great experiences.  Tons of museums to visit and all kinds of other places there yet to see.  Love.
