Gaylord Texan Hotel, And Build Me A Lazy River

We stayed at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine (close to Dallas and Ft. Worth) and — it’s like this — I wanted to never leave.  We’ve stayed at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville several times so we knew it would be huge and well-themed and nice, and it was all those things and more.

Our room had an atrium-view balcony:

We went swimming inside the first evening, then spent the rest of our time (and I really did not want us to ever, ever leave) at their own water park, which has this fabulous water slide the boys loved and a long lazy river that I was ready to have someone recreate in our back yard.  There are private cabanas, too.  We need to live here:

Can’t even say how wonderful it was, and we already can’t wait to go back.  Fabulous, fabulous.
