Go Toward The Neon

For retro perfection in a neon glow, it’s the Mayflower Cafe in downtown Jackson, here since 1935. During the day:

It’s been a location for ‘The Help’ and on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Av and I like to go just for the pie (and really, for the pie only. Thing to do is to eat at Parlor Market on the same block, then head down here for dessert):
