Since 1870, Morning Call has been serving coffee (cafe au lait!) and beignets to generations. In 1974, they moved from Decatur Street out to Metairie, to a little shopping center — that nicely enough has a newsstand next door. There’s another inside Clearview Mall. And yes, isn’t that neon sign terrific:

Delicious. And better than CDM (eight years senior), even. Really.
What’s very nice is that a Morning Call just opened up this month at City Park, complete with another beautiful arch.
