Dream Pantry

When I heard that Deborah Stone had a farm and was selling handcrafted foods/goods in the Cahaba Heights neighborhood of Birmingham, I put it on my list of must-tries.  Deborah used to have an eponymous day spa here, which I frequented and enjoyed immensely.  I figured anything she put her mind to was going to be very fine.

And so today I visited what she calls ‘The Pantry by Stone Hollow Farmstead‘ to bring lunch to a friend who’s been sick, and had time to spare to take in everything:

I chose this sandwich for my friend: aged balsamic vinaigrette, marinated tomatoes, boston lettuce, arugula, micro greens, garlic aioli, avocado slices, and SFHS goat cheese.  I’m hungry now too.

Pin away, darlings. It’s tiny, it’s lovely:

I brought myself home a jar of strawberry and peach preserves, which were terrific:

Last year, Birmingham Magazine did a feature on Deborah, her farm, and this project.  Already planning my next visit.
