There is a *lot* going on this weekend, but if I could, I’d be at:
In Alabama:
Russian Food Festival in Brookside – that’s St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church above, that the food festival is held at.
Moss Rock Festival in Hoover – if you have little ones, you need to know that they do not let anyone park at the festival. Everyone must park at the Hoover Met baseball lot and ride a shuttle bus approximately five minutes to the park. (Getting on high horse here…) I don’t believe in putting my 1 & 2 year old in any moving vehicle without them being securely strapped into their car seats so we won’t be going to this – but if you don’t have little ones that need to be buckled in, they do have some nice artists there. Organizers implemented a similar policy this year at the Aldridge Gardens art show and we wound up not going because they didn’t give us or any of the other people with babies and small children any other option. Pike Road Arts and Crafts Fair in Pike Road
National Peanut Festival in Dothan
Cane Syrup Makin’ Day at Rikard’s Mill in Beatrice (can’t find a website for this one)
Kenan’s Mill Fall Festival in Selma
