When I think of broiled grapefruit, it’s really during the winter holiday season because preparing them this way seems a little decadent – but the other day I bought a couple of gorgeous ones at Whole Foods and it only seemed right.
For each grapefruit half, mix together a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of brown sugar. To that, you add a few pecan pieces (a little or a lot, depending on your mood). Combine it all together in a bowl and spread on top each half, then broil on high – usually somewhere between two and three minutes is perfect. Yum!
