While we were driving around Rome, we saw a huge cemetery on a hill, very close to downtown. There were all kinds of statuary – from this memorial with General Forrest:

This one was for President Woodrow Wilson’s wife, Ellen Louise Axson. She passed away in 1914 in the White House:
The sign nearby reads that she “championed improved working conditions for women and better housing for Washington’s poor. Eleanor Roosevelt considered Mrs. Wilson a mentor on social issues.” She met Woodrow Wilson at a church in Rome where her father was a preacher.
