Jerry Brown Arts Festival, Hamilton AL

Yesterday, we went to the Jerry Brown Arts Festival in Hamilton. We had such a good time!

We bought a whirligig from Tom Henry (below) from Philadelphia MS who also shows at Kentuck:

We thought it might be fun for Shug to look at – we’ll put it in the middle of the garden this year after we get it planted.

Next, we visited with James Brassfield of Hamilton, who makes turkey calls:

He showed Shug how to call a turkey:

We bought these two calls from him:

This is a box call:

…it’s cedar and cherry wood:

Of course Jerry Brown was there demonstrating his pottery:

We brought home this fish Jerry made – I don’t think I’ve ever seen him make anything like this before:

…with a little man inside!
