Garden & Gun and Idyllic Neighborhoods

One of the magazines we get is Garden and Gun – which…when I first heard about it, I thought, “okay – this is either going to be really high-brow, or really low-brow”.

(It’s high.)

This latest issue has a story about Chris Hastings (he owns Hot and Hot with his wife) gathering and cooking on the “Forgotten Coast” – Apalachicola, Mexico Beach, Carrabelle – and mentions that Chris has been hired by the St. Joe company to be a consultant, helping them design and develop their restaurants.

St. Joe is a developer of master-planned communities – on the Gulf Coast, there’s WaterColor, WaterSound, RiverCamps, SummerCamp Beach…several more. Here’s a pic I took last year of a home in WaterColor:
